I'm convinced all women that weren't raised on a farm think this.

quote:

The eggshell color depends on the breed of the hen. Generally speaking, white shell eggs come from hens with white feathers, while brown shell eggs are produced by hens with brown feathers.

FACT: With farm raised eggs, don't wash them until time to crack them and they don't have to be refrigerated and will last a long time setting on the counter.

quote:

Eggshells are porous, so when you wash them you're removing that natural barrier. Unwashed eggs can sit on your kitchen counter at room temperature for a couple of weeks and they'll still be edible. But once they've touched water, they need to be refrigerated.

Farm eggs are better. You don't refrigerate them and they still last a month easily.
You just do a water test. If the egg sinks its good. If it floats its bad. If it stands up. It's OK to scramble or bake with but it's on its way out.

You don't need a rooster for a hen to lay eggs. If you're eating the eggs you don't want Balut anyway.

Dealing with the chickens isnt worth the few dollars a month you save on eggs

the heart of your rant is right but im still not okay accepting paying $6 for something that wasnt even a dollar less than a year ago.

Small backyard farms have been posting online that: since October their chickens stopped laying eggs. Then, the stopped using “chicken feed” and they started laying eggs again.

So much evil in this world trying to control everyone.

Wasn’t there a good many large chicken farms burned recently? This could be a possibility why eggs have hiked through the roof. I don’t know. I’m asking the question.

Eggs have gone up for the same reason most things are still sky high. Sellers are finding our the maximum people will pay.
