APRIL 15 12:01 p.m. — On Friday, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott will announce a plan to eventually reopen the Texas economy, the governor's office has confirmed to KVUE's Bryce Newberry in Austin. Abbott previously told us the state is working with the White House on the process and any reopening would have to be gradual. The expected executive order will discuss "how we're going to go about this process of opening up businesses, and that must include the appropriate medical strategies to make sure that we are not going to be increasing the spread of the coronavirus," Abbott told KVUE.

What does this do, really? Half or more of the people who have this are asymtomatic, and I wonder how practical it really is to temp check masses of people. Am interested to see Texas' plan.

When 50-75% infected have no fever or any other symptoms this doesnt much matter

I’m seriously thinking of moving to Texas. Louisiana is a fricking mess. BigPerm needs to get a cowboy hat and some boots.

Last time I went to the doctor, they did a temp check and then had me sit in my car. For an ear infection.

We already have that implemented in our building, as well as mandatory masks. We bought our own spray equipment and disinfectant, and spray that twice per day, as well as having our cleaning team wipe down high traffic surfaces all day long with disinfectant. We have our breakroom tables broken apart from each other with only one chair at each table as to force distancing, and we have made it to where employees cannot go into parts of the building that they do not work in (no traveling through).
That said, with all we've done in our building to keep people safe, they could go to the gas station on the corner 30-seconds after leaving work and pick that shite up. Sucks...

As long as you didn't vote for JBE or his party, welcome. (We have enough Californians voting Dem)

Sadly true.

I'm a native and don't own either. But we're always grateful for the sales tax contribution.

Glad to see burger king is taking such an aggressive approach.

Think Abbot will build a wall to keep our mouth-breathing population out of Texas?

I have been confirmed positive for 6 day. Haven’t had a fever once.

Fresh Market started a policy this week of requiring customers to wear masks/face covering. I think that's where we're headed. Make everyone in public keep their germs to themselves and we can all go about our business more or less.

They’re a little late. Many places have been doing this for weeks now.
