When is moderna actually getting fda approval?

Did adults who it wasn’t as severe for get vaccinated to reduce spread to those who were (as in kids)?

Also, only about 100 people a year died of chickenpox before the varicella vaccine. Yet we still vaccinate for it.

neither is influenza which is also significantly significantly more dangerous to children under the age of 17 and we don’t mandate influenza vaccines. so yeah, your theory fricking sucks

I wouldn’t have an issue with flu vaccines being mandatory. So you’re probably talking shite to the wrong person.

This is where I think it hits the fan. You can tell an adult to get the shot for work or whatever and sure they aren’t going to like it but it is what it is. You start messing with people’s kids and that’s a whole different story. No way people just cave and let their kids be vaccinated.

If the vaccine works why do we need to vaccinate kids to “stop the spread”?

Perhaps to save people like you from yourselves...

I doubt this happens in Louisiana but I wouldn’t be shocked if some tried to mandate it, if so it’s private or home school. I see zero reason to vaccinate my healthy 8 year old.

Yes, feel bad that parents have to be forced to care about their children.

Cool.

I'll be getting my daughter vaccinated as soon as it is available for her age bracket, assuming her pediatrician is on board as well.

The main reason being that even though the risk of Covid to her is pretty low, the risk from the vaccine is orders of magnitude lower.

All of you struggling to rebuild from Laura and Ida. Remember that. Government can’t help you, need to buy vaccines instead

Worst case I will just put my kids in private school. Though I can't see Tennessee allowing this shite.

Missing the point of how oppressive government works though. Tennessee won’t get any federal funding when the vaccine mandate rolls out unless they mandate all the children are vaccinated in order to attend public schools. They will keep pushing until everyone is forced one way or another whether you want/need it or not.

no different from required vaccines

Spoken like a nurse.
You seriously have zero risk analysis capability.

It's zero risk to kids.
There is no long term data on vaccines.

COVID statistics plummeting nationwide and we have OT members itching to get on a waiting list to get their children vaccinated for a disease that statistically is no threat to them.

what a time to be alive

If any of you parents go along with this and vax your kids, then I hope you suffer an excruciating exodus from this life to an even worse afterlife.

I know a kid who was in the Pfizer trials. He made some nice cash.

This isn’t any different then most required vaccines for children

Yeah, it's exactly the same...well, except for the astronomically low death rate for COVID compared to the other diseases requiring vaccination.

And that breakthrough cases are almost nonexistent amongst those other diseases.

But yeah, there isn't any difference.

If the parents want their kids to get vaccinated and it makes them feel better and shut up and if the FDA approves it what’s the issue? If you don’t like the vax and don’t want your kids to get it, then don’t have your kids get it.

I get that kids are completely safe from this thing anyways and fears over elementary kids catching Covid is completely unfounded but some parents want their kids vaccinated so what’s the issue in letting them?

I don't get it. The world has gone fricking nuts.

The mortality rate from 0-17 is 0.01%. They account for 22% of the entire US population, and only 15% of cases, and 0.1% of all deaths.

There's no way I'm running out to vaccinate my kid against COVID. It doesn't make any sense to.
