Gov Landry reminding those that weed on college campus is still a crime

I really hope this means they are set to do some enforcement at LSU on Saturday about this.
Follow the weed smell, it brings you to the trouble makers that brought issues last season.

We celebrate binge drinking until you stumble into the stadium, a flask of whiskey during the game, then a drive home.
For the love of God, though, no weed on campus.

It stinks. Be civilized and eat a gummy. This was my biggest complaint last year, couldn't walk anywhere on campus without smelling it. It was awful.

2,000 feet from campus - Is that hookah lounge within 2000 feet of the campus border?
ETA: Just measured on Google Earth. Roosevelt Street and Garfield Street are less than 2,000 feet from Pleasant Hall and way closer to the Tiger Band Hall on Aster Street.
They've found a way.

I don't know. We need to get 2,000 one foot rulers and line them up to figure that out.

The type of person on campus openly smoking weed is not who we want around. It’s trashy no matter how you cut it. Take gummies if you must.

Hookah is not weed

We don’t want ghetto trash on our campus. Ghetto trash has destroyed every other fricking thing in Louisiana and now it’s coming for our school.

We smoked nearly every tailgate, but like civilized ppl, we did it inconspicuously inside a camper, tent, or WCA.
Now that Tate is gone, the campus authorities and security will begin to profile aggressively.

My post wasn’t intended to be an endorsement for weed on campus, but an indictment of the historical acceptance of alcohol consumption in mass volumes.
The alcohol part is even treated broadly as a badge of honor among LSU fans. I just think that part is hypocritical. FTR, I’ve gotten piss drunk at many LSU games, though I’ve never driven after, and I’ve never used any weed products there.

Out of control drunks getting blackout are a much bigger threat than people smoking a little pot

Agreed. They'll need a battalion's worth of manpower. The few cops that are out there would've had a better chance at Little Bighorn than wading into that morass of skunk stench.

I can only say so much without getting banned. But those who are smoking weed have been a recent and negative influence on LSU as of late.

Laws are meaningless without enforcement

What do you think most of the people on campus, in BR and all the politicians locally and in the state are except scumbags?
Posted on 8/31/26 at 1:56 pm to Yaboylsu63
How can people smoke weed. I could never walk around smelling like stir fried shite all day.
Posted on 8/31/26 at 2:04 pm to Yaboylsu63
Eat a gummy. Too many families with kids that don’t need to smell that.

The people hanging out at the Hookah lounge are the same people walking around with vape pens. That's the goal.
