Doesn't this also shut down the entire petrochemical industry? Every plant in the state has more than 50 people on site.

I don't think we are far off from all states doing this.
They've instituted a similar closure here in WA. The one here is a little more restrictive.

Do you think the Louisiana Oilman's Bass Invitational tournament on Toledo Bend will be cancelled. It's on April 2, 3 & 4 and will bring together up to 1000 people in one place. Can the state cancel that type of event?

i know i went on a rant last night, but I have a bad feeling it's a lot worse in Nola than what we know now

Exposure happened over Mardi Gras. Shouldn’t we be seeing hospitals overrun and bodies in the street by now??

Just walked around the CBD. Ghost town. All of the restaurants are already enforcing the To Go only. Very weird vibe. No likey.

Limiting 50 people in the toilet paper/bottled water sections of stores is going to be a chore.

Got a few friends that are operators at large plants. They both are saying that the plants are in discussions about locking in two shifts for 4-6 weeks, while removing all non-essentials.

Dude you need to stop with this crap.

No. I am not going to stop. I work at an ICU that will soon be flooded with patients in serious condition because people like you think this is some cold.

Do you really think this is just going to "go away" if we stop addressing it? Because if we don't do anything and carry on like nothing is happening, shite is going to hit the fan.

However, if we keep rolling out precautions like this, everyone on here will say it was a huge overreaction. I honestly hope that is the case because the other scenario will be devastating to health care and the economy

I went out to lunch earlier in BR and it mostly seems like business as usual. There were 10-15 people in the little restaurant I went to. It probably only seats 25

What does that mean? How did New Orleans shut down the entire state?

Next on the list to cause world-wide quarantine:
Lightning, falling meteorites, travel of any kind (including walking), any and all drugs, alcohol, and tobacco, being within 100 ft of any other humans (no exceptions)

Did I miss anything?

I don’t understand the logic of leaving workplaces open (where people stay for 8+ hours) and closing restaurants and movie theaters (where people stay for 2 hours)
