So in other words, we libtards don't give a shite about laws, we'll just make shite up, force it on companies, and then get our minions to harass you, so you just give in

Not sure how they enforce when all these companies are technically based in Delaware.

This will just force more companies to leave the state and go to Texas.

The federal government has been operating like this for 20 years.

Wait? So CA is basically saying that women are not qualified to be on a board and have to be forced on. I mean if they were qualified they would already hold these positions right?

What if one of the men on the board identifies as a woman? Liberal conundrum?

California should be fined by the federal government for intentionally enacting laws that violate the U.S. constitution.

I wish they really could do that.

Gov. Jerry Brown on Sunday signed a bill into law that makes California the first state to require corporate boards of directors to include women, saying that despite potentially “fatal” legal problems in the measure, it is time to force action.

If I am a crusty old white guy and I am feeling a little feminine today and I use the Ladies restroom that should be good enough, huh? asking for a friend.

wonder how CA taxpayers feel about the Governor signing bills that are guaranteed from day one to result in costly litigation that the state will most certainly lose?

I actually ventured over to r/California and was pleasantly surprised that most thought it was asinine

There are 377 California-based companies on the Russell 3000 stock index of large firms with all-male boards that could be affected by the new law, said Annalisa Barrett, a clinical professor of finance at the University of San Diego's School of Business. Hundreds of smaller firms will also be affected by the law, she said.

Wow. So, over 10% of these large companies are in CA, but will have to alter their hiring within 2 years.

Quotas are bad news but this is what happens when companies don’t make an effort and stick with the familiar and comfortable.
