The greatest trick women ever pulled was somehow acquiring minority status. I don’t understand how white women got a get out of jail free card from the “privilege” bullshite

The new law requires publicly traded corporations headquartered in California to include at least one woman on their boards of directors by the end of 2019 as part of an effort to close the gender gap in business.

At this point, is there any benefit for a company to be headquartered in California?

The "equal pay" narrative has definitely helped.

Essentially companies are just going to end up paying a woman to "sit on the board" tell her she has minimal say though. The stock of legit women capable of doing this will be very minimal. Career female "board members" will be a new "job title."

Affirmative "token" action at it's best right here

So it’s the equivalent of Affirmative Action but for women. This country is a joke. You earn a spot on the board, great. It’s handed to you. Joke. Absolutely ridiculous

Fine. Fire 3 women and just pay the fine every year. Make it a line item in the budget. "Money we used to pay women, but now use to pay Board Broad fine."
