Can we stop pretending Texas isn’t a completely cucked state now?

It’s not raw data, it’s positivity rate. That would be a concerning number if the other metrics were spiking along with it.

If the other metrics are moving also, such as hospitalizations (which I understand is increasing in Texas), then there is a valid basis for public health action.

It is not irrational to institute restrictions while your healthcare system is being strained, which it seems is the case in at least parts of Texas.

Yet shutting down all bars state wide makes sense...

Does anyone think that a significant number of the people in this picture are going to need hospital-level treatment if they contract the virus?

In a logical world wouldn't the elderly and immune-compromised continue to avoid this age group while the virus works its way thru healthy people? In the absence of a vaccine how else does the infection rate ever die down?

Oh wait, science has the answer: when Biden is elected.

Abbott is a cuck and is going full retard like the rest of the politicians out there. I used to like him, but this is just dumb.

Should stage a sit-in protest at every bar in the state.

That would be one type of restriction.

There are multiple hospitals reporting low capacity in their ICUs (assuming this isn't fake news - but we are talking about Republican Texas). Without knowing how many people will be showing up critically ill in the next couple of weeks, it is sensible to enact restriction in an attempt to slow the influx of patients.

Not exactly. He's certainly got all the slime of EWE, but without an ounce of the charisma.

The problem is those people go back to their elderly Auntes and grandmas. That's the cause with spike of hospitals.

We won't though. You know it! In two years, he and Patrick will have their God, Guns, Old Glory, Abortion, Education, Border and Prayer ads going while wearing a Carhartt leaning on a tractor. The straight ticket sheep will do what they do once again. Bookmark it.

Considering alcohol suppresses your immune system, no.

Well, staying inside instead of getting sun at parks and beeches for example reduces your vitamin E, and that’s said to be very important in fending off Covid, and yet here we are closing beeches and parks during a lockdown.

Let’s just cut through the shite... None of this makes any good sense really.

I’ll give you a couple of really good reasons for alcohol consumption. Covid doesn’t live in alcohol, and it reduces stress with people dealing with isolation and crazy people who want to stop social creatures (humans) from socializing.

No. They aren’t sharing the age/demographic of those hospitalizations.

If it’s adults 16-40 going in and getting checked out then leaving without staying overnight then that isn’t a cause. But that is counted as a hospitalization.
