The ICU guys there would know better than anyone how critical things have gotten and they are begging to reinstate some restrictions.

That is happening in La too, 100%. 1 patient tested 10x and counted as 10 separate positives.

It’s so crazy when you give them real stats and people still run with the same narrative.
70% non covid and 27 % covid... oh no we are all dying!! Wtf

The most pro business governor in the country with a track record to prove it.

Yet some of y’all want to “primary” him and he’s “bent the knee” to some grand conspiracy.

you do realize you would be dead if you had enough alcohol in your system to kill a virus, no?

It’s not in the alcohol you’re consuming, and yes, vitamin D and beaches

Point is, nothing we’ve done to date has made good sense, or has been consistent because it’s driven by panic and hysteria. Pack the supermarkets but close the beaches, parks and churches.

Don’t wear a mask because It’s for health professionals. Wear a mask to protect others from getting Covid, but don’t wear a mask because it doesn’t do anything.

Shelter in place and be careful with large crowds, unless of course it’s a riot, then mum’s the word, but be careful about Trump rallies.

It takes a week for Covid to show up, but day after Trump rally the numbers spiked in Tulsa.

Yes and 97% is included in that variation. Nothing out of the ordinary. From what I heard the memo that was distributed to the media was not clear. Perhaps a knee jerk reaction based on the 97% but thats not including the emergency tent facilities or childrens hospitals now can take adult covid patients.

"Elective"

I'm saying it takes actions by BOTH hospitals AND the public to prevent a potential health care disaster.

Is it really Draconian if the public was asked to be careful first but refused?

Maybe governors of conservative stronghold states aren't "bending the knee". Maybe posters are just wrong about the threat of the virus if a hospital can't cope.

Sure

But the hospitals can cope, that's the thing. Hospitalizations for covid patients hasn't really changed, and bone of the additional resources have been activated yet. Hospitals need to run 80% capacity to make money so they were scaling up as money surgeries as they could, one for medical reasons and two for revenue.

If they scale back those surgeries and focus on covid you can change nothing else and be fine.

Yep...it's bars fault. Not Walmart or Costco or HEB or any of the other places where thousands go a day. It's the bar that has 25 people
There’s a big difference in people getting in and out of a grocery store for necessities and spending lots of time at a bar socializing. A bar is a place for socializing, and that’s much more of a concern for spreading the virus out of control than grocery shopping.

It's not. Both are bad. But, those saying it's a "fact that this is because of the protest" are wrong. It's because of many factors. The protest were just one of many. State still needs to stay open completely.

I'm not going to argue that bars not following capacity rules didn't play a role, but its ridiculous to argue that the protests aren't responsible too. Large gatherings with no social distancing, and a lot of people without masks or not wearing one properly.

No argument here. They were definitely part of the problem.

Government is the reason we’re facing a second wave, fricking bootlicker. Go suck daddy government’s cock you bitch, I for one value my liberty over safety.
