Buy mine. Gonna cost you more than $800 though and it runs great.

I'd love to know who the seller is. Know a lot of people in that area.

I don’t even think it was a scam. The guy has a mower that wasn’t working. He was told it was the carb by someone he trusted. You know there was a problem before you bought it.

Then you sent someone you trusted and they picked it up after checking it out.

So at this point 4 people didn’t know what was wrong with it. And you still spent $800 for it.

As far as him cutting you off, I don’t blame him. He told you it wasn’t working and what he thought was the issue. You’re pestering him trying to salvage your bad situation. Y’all agreed to a deal knowing an problem existed and now you’re trying to renege. I’d block your arse too.

You can be mad but only at yourself and your guy.

Get it to a guy to clean out the carbeurator, and they tell me that the carbeurator is perfectly clean, but the motor on the lawn mower is shot. They told me that the lawn mower is pretty much not worth shite.

Next scam: This guy is looking at a perfect motor but knows you don’t know that and will offer you $200 for parts which you’ll now gladly take thinking its worth nothing. Then he’s going to fix the carb and resell it for $1800

I get it. But you would think a decent human being would realize that I got screwed over in this and agree to return the money for the machine. It's not like this guy was just found on a craigslist add. I don't personally know the guy, but he was an acquaintance of someone I knew. Felt there would be a level of trust there, but that's where I messed up I guess.

He knew he was fricking you and he got what he wanted. That was his plan to dump it off on a sucker.

He lives in Opelousas, but teaches in Brusly. Or so he said.

No. There is no chance he didn't act in good faith. He knew I was looking for a lawn mower, and simply let me know that someone he knew was selling. Or knew the wife of the person selling. He did not try to frick me over.

And there is a -10000% chance the person who picked it up intentionally screwed me over.

Just be thankful you wasn’t trying to buy a caravan from any gypsies. Then gypsies are nothing but trouble.

Friendly reminder! Never buy a vehicle or equipment that’s being advertised as not running due to a small problem. You always come out better if it was “I don’t know what’s wrong with it” instead of sensors, carburetors, pumps and other shyt that’s easy to fix. 99% of the time it’s a scam. Cause what grown arse man can’t get these “small & inexpensive” problems fixed. Especially if the report is that more expensive shyt’s been recently done.

What does he owe you? He told you what he thought because of what he was told. Regardless you knew it wasn’t running for whatever reason AND you sent someone with knowledge to check it out. All of the fault lies on your side of the table. 100%.

So what’s wrong with the engine? Is it frozen?

And I’d add, that 800 is worth about 400 currently, so it’s not as bad as you think. Replace the gd engine and use it.
