Welp, co-worker had one of these cameras rolling the ENTIRE time lol. But didn’t say anything about it.

Yeah, I've heard that some trucking companies having been emphasizing getting cameras installed over the past few years.

And that they also wait until a suit is FILED before they share the camera's existence/footage.

That’s one of the busiest intersections in that area. A really nice neighborhood starts like 2 blocks from there. I’ve just never really felt unsafe there especially during day

Best Mexican Restaurant in the city is a block away

I can see dash cams being a double-edged sword for businesses. Truck drivers cause wrecks too, and the if I were running a transportation business I wouldn’t want the existence of stored dash cam footage to be common knowledge. Hence saving it until you absolutely need it.

And this

And you are on White so you aren't making a left onto white while on that street.

Prayers

Even if the cops wrote them a ticket at fault it can be changed with the quickness.

Happened to me not too long. Nola sucks.

Sound like they trying to get in accidents on purpose to collect. Insurance fraud if you ask me. Pull up the persons rap sheet or see how many wrecks he’s been in.

Pretty entertaining watching you guys gaslight a guy because you want to reassure yourself you don’t live in a dump

I always mentioned to him that you should counter and sue the other driver and all the family members just to prove a point.

I was involved in a small fender bender with a bus (less than 5mph) 15 folks on the bus, no one said shite at the scene about being hurt. Ended up getting 7 suits, none actually went to what you call an actual medical establishment (closest was some pain clinic co-owned by lawyers). Insurance company calls me up one to tell me one of the people who filed suit wasn’t even on the manifest taken by the cop. Prior to the deposition, his lawyer tells mine he didn’t even think he was on the bus. Over the course of the deposition it was pretty apparent that he wasn’t on the bus. Apparently there is zero recourse either....I asked the lawyer if I could press charges, and apparently making false claims isn’t illegal.

As I read this I was thinking that they were setting you up.

Now that I’m finished, I’m positive it was a scam.

So would a gun have helped?
What would you have done? Flashed it and turn the situation to 11?
Turn into another victim of an unsolved murder?

You didn't have a dash cam, if you would have had a gun you'd likely be in OPP right now.

I did and I have the officer on video saying I had the right of way. We also have the same insurer.

Pay close attention to your premiums at renewal. I was hit by a drunk driver that was driving on a suspended license from a previous DUI. 100% her fault, all parties acknowledged, and the insurance paid my damage, rental & medical. My premium went up around 25% at renewal.
