pass through to turn left on Washington and Broad.
that area is sketchy AF. They have that bonified crackhouse/traphouse that's has a noticeable lean and all the windows are busted out covered in plywood or sheets. Always a ton of bums and addicts wandering all over the place

Hope you took pics of damage on their car and the intersection. Did the police assign the other person fault or issue a ticket? Report to your insurance company ASAP and get your version on the record. Call his insurer too and tell them what happened and get the ball rolling on a rental or whatever you need.
Good luck.
I did and I have the officer on video saying I had the right of way. We also have the same insurer.

It’s way more dangerous for a white person in a black part of town than the other way around. Stats and many stories like these are my truth. Am I doing this right?

You’ll still get sued and your insurance company will still pay them.

Keep a razor in the glove box for these situations.
When no one is looking and before you get out, gig your own head and get some color.
It looks good on paper.

yes? as in a black guy is more likely to get struck by lightening in a white suburb than be jumped by a roving gang of white kids?

I have zero clue how any law abiding citizen can drive through that ghetto shithole without packing heat. I won’t do it. I live in a relatively crime free area so I don’t carry 24/7, but I will make a special trip home to grab my pistol before going to the city. frick that noise

Why would you need a gun for that situation
I guarantee it wasn’t nearly as scary as he thought

Classic “jump in” scenario. All will claim they were in the car during accident and have “injuries”. Likely had their lawyer on speed dial.
I’d check the intersection for cameras. Or any witnesses to help sustain only one guy was in the vehicle.
