Tropical storm development in the Gulf next week? Latest Euro Ensembles and Google Deep Mind models have increased their odds to 40-50% of modest tropical storm development in the 6-7 day period...first image is the overnight run of the Euro deterministic model.
Traditionally anything that develops near the Bay of Campeche this time of year moves northeastward....but we'll see. Something to watch for into next week and into the weekend that follows. #lawx #tropics

The past 2 years have been a disaster for wanna be social media storm trackers.
Rest assured, as soon as we get a real threat, they are going to rise from the ether like cicadas, singing their songs with a deafening volume.

You're going to get hammered for this since you're not approved to start weather threads. That said, this has been slowly creeping up in the models for a few days now and I've seen some meteorologists start mentioning it.

I have been watching the models too but wasnt about to post and have everyone hate me.
But we are ready if something actually forms and people need us. Ready to break in that second mobile kitchen. We havent cooked a single thing in it yet. Hoping we can leave it sitting in Cottondale until next year though.

Let’s not and say we did.

Perillo was just forecasting for 3-5 inches of rain with hot spots of 8 inches possible just 2 days ago. Now the models are showing 1-2 inches. I’m not buying a tropical model 6-7 days out.

Don't. Just let the hurricane do the work for you.
