From Masters tee?

>>>125

From members tee with caddie and a month to practice, I might could break 100 on a great day.
I'm a 10 when I play a bunch. The greens are the hardest part.

Masters tees? Probably 150+.

#4 is a 240 yd par 3. 5,7,10,11, 18 are all 450+ par 4s which are at least par 5s for me. I'd probably luck into a par at one of the par 5s or par 3s, but those par 4s- ugh.

With crazy wind, they would invite me to play the par 3 course after I 3 chip and 5 putt #9.

This is how you prepare to putt at Augusta National. Get in the bathtub and try to stop it before the drain. If you can do that, you're ready.

I would never play Augusta. Those greens are too fast for me.

They have fast greens "to protect the course", because modern equipment rendered the Augusta too easy for top tier pros.

Talking to several folks who have played it:

Member Tees(can play as short as 6,100 yards):
- Single digit handicap add 5 to 8 strokes
- 12+ handicap add 18 strokes
Putting and sand play are key

Front of Championship Tees:
Must be single digit handicap to play add 7 to 12 strokes

Guess it depends...am I playing alone or am I playing with a caddie and someone to find my ball every hole? Do I get practice rounds?

This is big IMO. I think anyone would have a had time going in blind (beside what you see on TV/outside the ropes) and break 90-100.

At about a 1-2 handicap, if you give me a caddy that knows the course, a couple days to get used to the green speeds, ect. I think I can break 85, which I would be thrilled with. I would like to say I can shoot 75 but that's just not realistic. Maybe, but doubtful.

There's so many factors that go into the score though, so it's hard to tell. Whether it's the crowd, pressure to win a major/grand slam, or just the money that goes into it. A relaxing round at those conditions is just different than being in that tournament.

But that course played really really hard yesterday afternoon.

Was it tough when you barely didn't make the PGA Tour and had to give up your dream?

Looking at the conditions today, I would be closer to 130 than 100.

I think today is going to be brutal for the pros.
