I have the shanks right now and spin it too much to play in this wind so under 200 would be good for me.

I'm a 2-handicap and from the pro tees and today's conditions, I would happy to be in the 90's. The course is so long, the undulations are not like anything in Ohio, the greens unless you've ever played on them before is something that you have to you to have experience with to even know what to do.

Everybody's talking about the putting but what about chipping and the delicate fringe stuff.

Imagine a side hill lie on these greens.

Would be an absolute nightmare.

I would definitely have a tough time on the testers. That's what makes the pros so good. They trust their line so much they can putt with more pace.

These days I'm about a 12 handicap. I'm going to guess I'd shoot about 120 on a good day.

Last year...maybe an 8-10 handicapper could shoot a 90-95. I'm not sure. But I'm fairly certain that score would be unattainable in today or tomorrow.

No way in hell. I've been a 10 handicap on a wide open course. When I play a much harder course with a higher slope, I shoot about 90-95. Master's course set up? I'd be lucky to break 125.

Yea, I'm a 3 handicap and feel the same way.

I'm confident that 2, 8, and 13 are the only holes where I would be aggressive. The rest I would be more defensive and just try to leave myself with manageable putts/chips. If I had a decent (25ft and in) putt for par on every hole, I'd be happy.

I played Pasatiempo while thier greens were running 13 on the stimp and that's about as close as I'll ever get to putting on Augusta's greens. I had one 4 putt and two 3 putts. These were all because I left my ball in a bad spot. The rest of the holes I putted very well. It's not Augusta, but that's the best point of reference that I have.

I guess if I had a glass of wine before, I could take it in stride.
the glass greens are f'd up.
I bet they were not like that back when Bobby Jones designed the course.

I don't think they ever release that info, but most assume it's 13-14. It seems the consensus is that Augusta's greens are the fastest on tour after Oakmont which runs 14-15 during tournaments.

Augusta's unofficial rating is 78.1 & 137 slope

Oakmont is next! 7255 yards, rating 77.5, 147 slope. Greens are faster that Augusta, rough is brutal and over 200 bunkers.

I'd stop keeping score. Those greens are the devil.
