Golden Nugget in Lake Charles charging 66% in "taxes and fees" on regular room rate UPDATE

UPDATE: the website was not correct…. it is now working and it is only charging $26 for taxes. Resort fee was around $78.

Is that normal?
Looking to go for 2 nights in November. For 1 King bed, regular room:
Room Rate = $434/night
Taxes/Fees = $286/night

$434/night alone is preposterous for a city the size of Lake Charles

the casino room sare outrageous on the weekends. even the shithole in vinton will regularly charge 2-300 a night

Most of DFW now heads to Oklahoma instead of Shreveport/Bossier, but Lake Charles still pulls in all of the Houston area Texans.
