Thinking about it now... I wonder why they're fooling with the helicopter rescue and not just recovering the capsule into the well deck after the hydrozine check is done.

Sorry to sound crazy but is this the capsule they were in the whole time? Or just landing capsule? If this is just for landing, where’s the other section??

They ditched the other section prior to beginning reentry. It will eventually reenter and burn up in the atmosphere.
