Clearly that is tongue is cheek. Apollo 8 reading from Genesis while orbiting the moon is one of the best moments in history.

FTS is a go. So we've cleared that little hiccup.

Range is a go. We still on fellas. Get ready to wake up to AI made meme vids with Hans Zimmer music from Interstellar.

Also if you're not watching NSF for pre-launch coverage, you're missing out. They're the most knowledgeable I've seen.

Also, I know I’m a decade behind the times but it was rather jarring to not see the OG countdown clock.

One thing that blows my mind is how big these rockets needs to be to get to the moon. Makes the shuttle (which was massive as well) seem tiny.

It shows you the true power of gravity and physics. It takes 8.8 million pounds of generated thrust just for SLS to escape earth's atmosphere.

People question why moon base and the starship program is so important...you can't really have meaningful space travel without those and a refueling station. If I remember correctly, for future Artemis missions, they're going to have to launch ships to orbit before with fuel and supplies just to complete moon missions.

I’ve really enjoyed the NASA+ channel. I can stream it on TV without paying (nsf requires for tv streaming) and they’ve done a lot of behind the scenes looks and education on the trip, prep, training, etc. constantly have other astronauts join the broadcast, etc.

Apples and oranges. Stack the shuttle on top of the boosters for a better comparison.

Sounds like there’s a small issue. Deciding whether it’s an indicator issue or a battery issue. Didn’t understand but they don’t think it’s a problem yet

I know they replaced some batteries on rollback. Don't recall if this particular battery was one.

Maybe they could use some “booster” cables?
