Dairy Science is bad, but some reason the Life Sciences Building always infuriates me with its ugliness.

LSU's business school

Maybe the worst looking building in the country.
I picture the inside is a giant indoor swamp.

Wife will be in that hospital. Pretty incredible the amount of diligence that went into developing the floors, layouts, and overall flow of the hospital. (Inb4 never done in time) but they did a number of studies at other hospitals and even mocked up the rooms/layouts prior to finalizing plans. She’s excited AF to get in there vs the current space.

In keeping up with the Jones’, BR needed a revamped hospital(s) to attract talent and higher salaries folks to afford the new 2mm riverfront properties.

This is the business school... and they make these kinds of decisions. It just shows the fricking stupidity of the average professor/administrator in the LSU business school.

None of the administration that would have been tasked with approving the design are still at LSU.

With the exception of a very small handful, virtually no professor or administrator have anything to do with any type of design or construction at any phase of the process.

Highly unlikely the professors had any say in the types of windows, etc..

Some were probably consulted about layouts of a classroom for teaching purposes. Installation of outlets in walls and flooring and different setups for conference calls around the world.

I know they do consult some faculty when building a new science building about lab design and functionality for various specialties but thats about it.

I think that was my freshman year...late 80's.

I am fairly certain at some point I got lost looking for it and said "But I thought they were ALL classroom buildings?"

Ugh, those brutalist buildings in downtown BR are just fricking terrible. Really awful and depressing. The BR skyline is not inspiring...at all.
