Who were they supposed to “help out”? And what exactly should they have done?

Surely this is sarcasm?

The a cow moose with a baby near by or a grizzly- even a young one can severely injured a human? Hell yes I’m serious.

Your original response was to someone who couldn’t have possibly been more sarcastic, yet you responded thinking people actually thought to jump in and stop a grizzly attack. And then reading my comment and getting none of it

In other words, you’re not smart

Went hiking with the wife last May in East Glacier. We were on a pretty solitary trail as not all of the ice had melted yet. We turned back and holy shite it was the biggest Grizzly I have ever seen about 100 yards away. We were able to scramble up a cliff and watch him take a bath in the stream for 20 minutes. He finally wandered off and we were able to make our way back down the trail.

That’s wild.
We went to Glacier about 6 years ago and were at many glacier lodge, and people were getting so close to the moose, the rangers had to make them disperse.

Eta took this cool pic that day while we were in Many Glacier at same spot as that bear attack

And 2 other pics I took that same day. Love going to GNP.

Went to Alaska a few years ago and was told more people were hurt/ killed by moose than bears. Most people don’t get that instinctive fear of moose.

I can’t believe my blatant sarcasm wasn’t detected immediately. It was a fricking moose and a bear. Having to verify the sarcasm really shits on the comedic moment. It’s like having to explain a punchline.
