I once had a neighbor (named Dean - douche name) whose dog jumped the fence into our yard and attacked my dog. Both dogs got a little beat up. The neighbor said it was our fault his dog got hurt and he wanted us to pay half of his vet bills. I told him if he was that confident, take me to court. He didn't pursue the matter. We moved away about a year later. I heard that a few years after that he dropped dead of a heart attack in his front yard.

My neighbor kept letting his son trim bushes and trees branches over the property line. I took care of it though. Permanently.

What you got?

I used to pick dog crap out of my yard and put it in the trash, I figured i can't keep the neighborhood dogs from going wherever it hits them. But i came out one night before bed to catch my neighbor walking his dog into our yard to let him shite.

To fix the problem i blew it back into his yard with the leaf blower. When he showed his arse about me blowing back across the line i started putting it in plastic bags and placing on his steps. It didn't take but a day or two before he started walking into his other neighbors yard.

I want to hear the neighbor's stories.

If you don't have obnoxious neighbor stories you are probably the obnoxious neighbor.

I was visiting my mom, enjoying the pool when I kept hearing this cracking noise. Turned around and I see an arrow half way through our fence. Turns out the neighbor's kid was shooting arrows into the fence with no target. If he over shot, he could have killed someone since this was a subdivision.

House I grew up in, my parents built it a couple of years after they married, mom finally sold it/moved about 5 years ago after living in it nearly 60 years.

Mom loved flowers, had probably 20 huge azalea bushes and tons of tulips, irises, day-lilies, etc. etc. One year she noticed that a lot of her bulb plants weren't coming back up. Come to find out her neighbor two doors down was coming into the yard and digging them up and replanting them in her yard. Probably stole 100, maybe 150 bulbs over a year or two.

Neighbor next door is elderly and has many grown grandchildren there all the time. Doesn't really speak to us. Her grass rarely gets cut. Had enough of it and I cut her grass recently.

A couple weeks later when my grass was about ready to be cut, she comes and cuts a narrow strip of grass in my yard then cuts hers.

Was that a thanks?

A thin strip of grass extended a little past their driveway and into my yard. So I cut it for them to be nice and keep things uniform. Instead of a thank you, I got “Why you cutting my grass?”

Well frick you, too!

Years ago when the first wife and I bought a house in a subdivision we lived on a corner culdesac. Some people moved into one of the houses on it as well. They were shitty people. Every NYE they threw a huge party and it went until 3-4 in the morning. It got so bad we would leave every NYE to get away from it all.
One time when we came home we saw all the houses on the cudesac except there was wrapped with TP. The neighbors and I confronted them about it nd it got heated but they didn't care.
They moved on and it took a while to sell their home. Turns out they had stopped paying the mortgage and were squatting for a while. When they moved, they trashed the house on the way out. I mean tore out drywall etc and left food out to spoil. Nice folks.

He was a jackass on several occasions including suing one neighbor for a barking dog and stopping construction on another neighbor's house by yelling at the Demco employees threatening to sue.

I didn't want to be held responsbile for dumping oil. DEQ was great. They did an "investigation" he claimed it wasn't him but it sure stopped. They advised I scoop it up, bag it and throw it in my regular trash

Current next door neighbor is that one house in every neighborhood… trashy kids, 4 cars in driveway & street because their 3-car garage is full to the ceiling with junk.. 7 year old tree stumps in the front yard.. fricking out of control Bodark trees ( the ‘crabgrass’ of trees) dropping horse apples all over my yard..

nothing but weeds in the yard but he has to start mowing before anyone else, and to his credit he mows more often than anyone because those weeds grow fast.. it’s tempting to tell him, hey if you spray for weeds and have plain old GRASS you won’t have to mow so often.

Crazy old black lady next door, she was wealthy and paranoid. I'm only saying that she is black, because it's relevant. The HOA is scared of her because if she breaks a rule "it's racist" to enforce it. It's a gated community, but she has burglar bars on every window and door, there hasn't been a break-in in years in the neighborhood.

The obnoxious part is her and her son, he comes over to cut her grass for her, at the crack of dawn, right outside our bedroom window. Lawnmower, weedeater, trimmers, leaf blower, its against the HOA rules, but I can't get them to enforce it.

I'm nice as can be to her, I put together and started her generator for the last storm, I fixed her security gate because she couldn't get her Lexus out.

We lived in a more compact neighborhood in Shreveport. Built in the 1920s. Neighbor lady asks if I minded if she planted crape myrtles on the line (right next to my driveway). I said I’d rather her not because of the debris and I’d planned on extended the driveway to the line so we’d have room for two cars.

She plants them anyway. She didn’t like the neighborhood kids running through yards. Her kid was one of them.

Years later, she moves away and the house is unoccupied for years. I had to cut the grass every few weeks when I couldn’t get one of her kids to come by and cut it. She finally sold the house, never once thanked me.

A few years ago, the mailbox for the house i was in was across the street in that neighbor's yard.

I would never walk across the street and weedeat around it. I figured he would have just done it. My whole life prior to that, I had weedeated around my family's mailbox, as well as the across the street neighbor's mailbox that was also in our yard. Never even thought twice about it.

This guy let the grass get up taller than my mailbox before he finally sprayed the grass around it. I didn't give a frick bc it was not in my yard. and he walked right past it with his weedeater each time he cut his grass. I thought it was pretty funny. it went on for 4+ months before he finally sprayed it

Our first home was in one of those clear cut neighborhoods with model homes. So every home is one of 5 or 6 models and they were 12’ apart on the sides and about 30’ from back of house to your rear neighbors. Across the street was an elderly couple that brought in their Katrina displaced daughter and her 2 complete trash kids. The son was about 16 and the daughter was about 12. They would curse each other out in the driveway. The son would walk around the neighborhood in a kilt and combat boots and nothing else.

We built a little seating area in the corner of our back yard. So that corner shared a fence line with side neighbor, rear neighbor and diagonal rear neighbor if that makes sense. after about a week of enjoying some nice fall weather back there, new rear diagonal neighbors moved in and they left their dog outside constantly. We’d sit there and literally have a dog barking at us 2 feet away the entire time we tried to sit outside. I went and spoke with them but the guy was a prick and said he wasn’t breaking any laws. We moved about 9 months later. Now our closest neighbor is about 100 yards down the street. Live out in Abita in the sticks and the only thing we hear now is the leaves rustling in the breeze. If we do hear a dog, it’s one we can barely hear. All of the people on our street have dogs but none of them are nuisances.
