If we substitute Cooter in place of Cooler, this thread would be different.

didn't even keep it very cold for as long as it should have.
I'm done with Yeti.
But you got those stickers though !

I don’t know anything about Yeti other than the free crap I get from my in-laws but if you’re paying over $40 for that crap, then you’re an idiot. We have a custom made one that couldn’t keep a block of ice for 24 hours cold.
Yeti is straight garbage.

I have an Orca cooler and wouldn’t recommend it. It’s way too heavy and I usually end up using the igloo or Coleman ones way more often.

I like my IceHole because I like saying the name. It’s also a pretty badass cooler. I don’t use it like I did in my Eagleford days, but it’s a solid piece and it was free from a vendor.

I have an imitation yeti (Ozark Trails) from Walmart. This one holds about 20 beers and ice. It will keep ice several days. They make bigger and smaller ones. I think it was like $60-70.
Got this, too. It’s legit.

Aren't they all.
Rumor has it someone buys these things in the first place. Though I've never met one of these people.

I went my whole life, 44 years old, using igloos and coleman's. Someone on here posted a sale at rtic. Bought a 65 and a 20quart. They are nice, but they are heavy as frick. I use the 20 in the boat for drinks, but the 65 doesn't have a role yet.

Monoprice.com has its own cooler line now - Pure Outdoor. They are cheaper than the name brands and have been intriguing me. I’ve used Monoprice for wires and other electronics and have been pleased. Someone by the cooler and let me know how it is.

Yes I know, but I'm telling the truth! Someone bought me a soft case one and when I found out how much it was I took it back and got a hard case one. Don't know if those are the right "cooler tech" terms but you know what I mean!!! If I had been smart I would have traded it for 2 off name brands!

We use the igloo with the wheels way more than the off brand yeti that barely holds anything and is heavy.
Somebody left a rolling 38 qt igloo ice chest on the beach 5 years ago. Watched it sit at the boardwalk for a couple days before we left and scooped it up. I’ve used it far more than any of the other several ice chests I have since.

Kenai Coolers. This is Grizzly coolers internet direct brand. Rotomolded coolers made in the USA for a good price.

K2 because they’re a little lighter.

Get a NoColors cooler. Same as the YETI, RTIC, but reasonably priced.

I've had all sorts. Different coolers for different uses. I buy he best I can for durability and effectiveness. I'm all about convenience now too. Wheels and backpacks are my thing now.
I'm a bit of a cooler addict though. Every time I go into a sporting goods store, I cannot resist going down the cooler aisle.
These days my needs are travel, fishing and hurricane prep.
Fishing demands keeping fish on ice for days at a time. I generally steer clear of soft shell casing when fishing.
Soft-shell; The Yeti's I have are very durable. The soft shell versions are durable and seem to be more effective than other soft shells that I have but not sure worth he money. Rtic makes great soft shells imo and cheaper.
Hardshell/Rotomolded; Igloo makes a hard shell and it's darn good for half the price. One of them has wheels so I love that. The MaxCold by Igloo is hands down the best cooler for the money but it's shell will split over time. If going offshore for long periods or if a hurricane is coming - The Yeti Tundra is the best hands down for keeping stuff cold longterm. There's something called Lifetime at Walmart that looks really nice and I've heard good things. The Rtic makes the biggest Rotomolded model.
Overall brand favorite;
Rtic is probably my favorite brand. Never had a problem. They have a really good backpack cooler. Love the zippers.

I have an Rtic soft sided cooler for mid-size and love it. The strap is pretty comfortable and we use it for tailgating, drinks while fishing, parties, etc.
My large ice chest is a Coleman for like $50 and it's been great too so

Mine stays on the boat. Otherwise, you’re correct.
