Can someone explain to me what the problem is with your SO knowing where you are?

My brother got in trouble with his then fiancé , now wife, while on his bachelor trip because of sharing his location. He was in the doghouse for a long time.

I see nothing wrong with this if you have nothing to hide. Worst case she knows you aren’t doing what you said you would. Best case she can track you and pick you up if you pass out at a bar

The question is, if you share locations and then turn it off for a little while, does the other person get a notification?

Turn off cellular data under app settings. Location will just show where you were last and won’t update until turned back on or connected to wifi. Does not send notification

Why do they need to know? Even if you aren't cheating, the constant flow of "what are you doing there?" texts would be fricking annoying. And the calls if you don't answer back in ten minutes even worse.

I would never do this simply because I'm super anal about my phone battery and constantly having your location on drains it.

Get it, but get her to end it. How? Keep up with her movements and bug the shite out of her. Why are you still at work? Since you're at the grocery, grab me some malt liquor. Etc., etc.

Married 15 years, she doesn’t need to know.

I canceled State Farm drive and save when I realized she could see everywhere I went on the app. When to the fishing camp and stopped at the bar, she called me out and I canceled

Why? What’s the logic behind that?

This is exactly why he asks.

That is break up worthy. Don’t even humor her on it. My wife would never dare ask something like that. Of course, we trust each other implicitly

I have been married faithfully for 22 years and dated my wife for 6 years before that. She has Life 360 on my kids and they share each other’s location for safety.

But, I am a grown arse man. I go where I want, when I want, and it’s no one’s business but mine where I am.

Almost exactly my situation. No Life360 for me but I do share my location with my wife, brother, and 73-year-old mom. I go where I want when I want and she wants to look, that's fine.

I swear this forum has a bunch of 40-60 year olds dreaming about cheating on their wives with some random 20 year old in the nsfw threads

I don’t know. My ex-wife and I used to share location so we would know when one or the other was almost home to get dinner going and stuff like that. It was pretty convenient, then she stopped. About a year later she filed for divorce… take that for what it’s worth.

I share my location with my girlfriend

She shares her location with me

And I 100% can say this is the healthiest relationship I have ever been in

Right. Nobody cares where you are. In fact, probably the only person that does care you don’t want to tell.

I had a gf that was obsessed with wanting to go through my phone. I’d show her a picture and she’d take the opportunity to snatch my phone and go through it. frick that. It bothered me every time and she would use my reaction to bolster whatever suspicions she cooked up. The idea that y’all have to “share everything” is bullshite. If I’m not cheating or attempting to cheat, then you have no business in my phone
