How is saying spend time with someone you love who is lonely bad advice?
Because it's highly doubtful that this is what's going on with the OP.

He said she is 21, in school and from out of state. It's not that big of a jump.
His going to a counselor idea was a good suggestion though.

Thank you. If you truly love someone you dont ask the internet how to handle her depression.

He also talked about her emotionally manipulative behavior and her using sex as a weapon. My jump isn't too big either.

Either way, shitty situation. Depression sucks for everyone involved.

She may also have a hormone imbalance. It sounds more Bi-polar though. The next steps, if bi-polar, is she will begin saying I'm bored" and expect you to do a little dance or perform a talent show for her amusement.
The sex will get crazier so there is that. Soon she will begin to blame every problem of her life on you. At this point the great sex is no longer a factor. It is time to run, never looking back.
Hopefully it is a hormone thing and getting on the pill will cure what ails her.
Either way, you are not qualified to deal with all of her personal problems and she needs a little therapy. Convince her that counseling is for re-grouping, not crazy. Be prepared for her to have every excuse not to seek help.

Correct, 86
Smart to learn early if you can handle from outsider ' s perspective. Some people can handle it and others cannot. Ok either way if you know yourself and can admit the truth

OP I'm 22 so I'll give you my POV:
My most recent ex was seeing someone on campus for her anxiety/depression/bipolar behavior (normal girl shite). She started acting more reclusive and by nature I don't like hanging out with people if I don't have to so I stayed in with her a lot.
She took an internship a few states away and would call me all the time crying about how shitty she felt. Then she started hanging out with her co workers a lot, which I saw coming. TL;DR she broke up with me because I was "boring" and didn't want to ever do anything besides frick and watching netflix. It's been 30 days and she already has a new boyfriend
Don't let her get you into a rut, she will use it against you. I've seen it happen and it happened to me when I let my guard down trying to be a good partner. It's a trap.

Giving her anal orgasm improves depression.

You sound wise for a 22 year old. Sorry it had to happen to you, but it sounds like you've learned from it. It will serve you well in the future.

School just started back in the last month? Did she spend the summer back home? If so she probably misses her summer frick buddy.

I graduated a few years ago. I had a girlfriend for most of college and that's always been a big regret. It's easy to say "dump her and go frick other women", but it's really what you need to do. People told me that and I didn't listen. Dumping her will suck, but you'll forget about it once you're balls deep in some freshman skank 3 days later.

OP, tell her to get her thyroid check. Sounds like she might be hypo.

Anal orgasms helped your depression?

I dont get it because we used to go party all the time and I/her friends still invite her to but she just doesnt have any of it and just wants me to stay at home with her. I told her that she needed to find a reason to get up everymorning and she said she cant. So last night in bed I told her there are counselers on campus if she feels the need to go talk to one and her response was "I'm not crazy....I want you to leave". So I went home. What do I do?
You can only suggest. Depending on how long you've been with her, I'd eventually (say maybe another month) put an ultimatum out there that she needs to see someone or your gone pecan.
You have to be careful, you can only go down that rabbit hole with someone for so long before it really starts to get at you too. Some of my darkest times were when I was trying to pull someone out and had to listen/stop people from acting out thoughts of a sick brain.

Wise post on your part. You will move on quickly and prosper. In a few years you may want to write her a thank you note.
