Now, just think how smart fricking road runners are

In SLC we had a coyote problem on the Bonneville Shoreline Trail right by Red Butte Garden. Tons of people walk their dogs up there off-leash, and these two (or three) coyotes would lure dogs away from their owners by engaging them in play, then they would kill the dogs. People complained about them for a few weeks and either SLC Animal Services didn't act fast enough or they couldn't catch them. So, some good samaritan baw who knew what they were doing goes up there and shoots them, and had the courtesy to drag their carcasses to the trailhead, so that everyone knew that the coyote problem had been eradicated. The End.

Might be a coyote. Might be a woman.

But then, I'm not a biologist.

We adopted a dog from the pound that our vet said was likely half coyote half shepherd.

Best dog I ever had - just enough crazy to keep the neighborhood kids honest.

I am a biologist, and that isn't a damn coyote.

May be part coyote, but not a full blown, wild yote.

could it be a mix between a dog and coyote?

Definitely a good chance for it being a coydog.

The man who owned our deer lease property asked us to kill any coyotes we saw on his land. Once while in a tree stand, I saw a coyote coming. I didn't move a muscle, and waited until it crossed behind a huge tree to raise my gun. I'm still waiting for that coyote to come out from behind that tree. It got that tree between me and it, then took off using the tree for cover. They're damn smart.

That's not a wild coyote, she would have never got her hands on it without being bit severely.

They are masters of communal survival. When you hear them howling together that is something of a "roll call" and if one is missing, it triggers hormones in them to mate to produce more.

That coyote has been humanized, it's been bowl nd hand fed 90% of it's life. He's in 2 good of condition to be wild. No mange, no scars, etc

That’s a dog because a coyote’s nose is so much smaller/pointier…….in my humble opinion.

Neither the fur, snout, nor ears look right. That's just a stray mutt that resembles a coyote
