So what do you call it when something happens to someone who doesn't give a frick about taking precautions and doesn't care about whether or not they could have COVID19 and they go out and spread it around which could then get to a few people it would have a seriously negative affect on?

I call it not equivalent to finding humor in people dying, but hey that might just be me not being a sociopath.

Maybe there is a communication barrier here and its my fault. When I say "it would be funny", I use it more in a "just a saying" type of way.. I would not literally start laughing if someone in the situation I laid out played out.
Maybe I should have said.. Ironic? I guess ironic would apply. People think that something isn't an issue at all then something happens to them by the thing that they didn't think was an issue.
So yeah. Replace funny with ironic.. Or whatever word makes you feel better.

Me using profoundly poor words can be considered a communication barrier when others take it different than what I mean.
If someone talks "jive" talk to someone who speaks proper English they will have some communication malfunction in a conversation just because they use words for different meaning.
For example. if I am watching a football game and their is a player having a great game and I say "that dude is a bad man". Someone who speaks proper english and is around others who speaks the way he does with think I mean the person is not good.. That's a barrier.

The wife and I were going stir crazy and decided on a road trip. Went to Georgia about a little over a week ago because we heard it was “open”. Practically nothing was open and we weren’t looking to go to bars or eat out. All of the restaurants we drove by were pick up only. I though the Civil war site in Andersonville would surely be open. Nope. Drove to the Whistle Stop Cafe in the most rural area you can imagine. The cafe was featured in the movie Fried Green Tomatoes. Closed. I’m not sure what it’s like now but it was not “open” when I went. If the incubation period on this Virus is correct we should start seeing an uptick in cases within a week or so in states that truly opened.

He died alone in a hospital in Kansas City of covid-19.
Wow, small world. Your wife works with my brother then. My brother played cards with Ed every day at lunch. He texted me about it last night. It sucks since he'd been taken off the ventilator and was out of the ICU. But I guess the damage to his organs was too much.

Yes, because there is no cure, so if you catch it and are at risk from dying, it won’t be from lack of medical care, which was the ENTIRE point of the shut down.

That you knew of, I had a health condition I was unaware of for approximately twenty years. I went to my primary physician complaining about an unrelated problem and it was discovered through some test. My point is, this guy might of had an underlying issue, he could have had poor medical care, or it could have been bad luck similar to being struck by lightning. Either way the data shows this isn’t the norm.

You were down in my area. We aren't wide open. Our governor just gave people the freedom to decide whether to open or not. He also put a LOT of restrictions on opening up and a lot of counties/municipalities made compliance teams to go out and enforce those restrictions. So a lot of people don't feel like going through all those restrictions and dealing with a couple of power hungry 'compliance' officers for 25% seating capacity when people are doing the take out thing.
Other things still are yet to open, but with numbers still on decline per dph we should start phase 2 soon. We got a lot of bad news coverage just because we were a week early but they treated it like we were just wide open. Shows you can't trust the media. I wish we were wide open.
