By local outcry, you mean KHOU trying to create news.

What did they do? I can't keep up. Literally just saw a article about Dems boycotting because they removed any mention of DEI on their website.

Chauvin was just the scapegoat in this case.
He was using an approved technique and while it likely contributed to Floyd's death in some manner, Floyd was in medical distress before he was ever placed on the ground.
Chauvin didn't kill George Floyd.
Playing devil's advocate, the officers could have been more "compassionate" to Floyd's medical distress however most cops are not super smart and are used to hearing those types of excuses all day long when detaining a criminal.

Someone with a Reddit account should post those images to the "oddly satisfying" sub

The overall stupidity of this community “uproar” not withstanding, Chauvin was convicted of 2nd Degree. So legally per the trial and the Supreme Court, that statement in the article is accurate.

Home Depot donated paint for the Floyd mural. So that outraged a lot of folks on the right. But then they decided not to promote DEI (at least publicly) anymore, so that outraged a lot of folks on the left.
Most recently, they declared they would not pass on tariff increases from Chinese shite to their consumers, so many MAGA folk are praising them now and promising to shop there instead of Lowe’s.
Absolutist politics can be very spider-webbie.

Such a great cause
TOLEDO, Ohio - Sir Maejor Page, 35, of Toledo, has been sentenced to 42 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Helmick after a jury convicted him of wire fraud and money laundering for defrauding donors of more than $450,000 that they collectively gave to his nonprofit “Black Lives Matter of Greater Atlanta” (BLM of Greater Atlanta) based on Page’s false representations.
