I just got my email showing my next scheduled six month plan premiums. I'm currently at 272.57. My premium is scheduled to increase to 317.86.

WTF, I have no new accidents or tickets or anything.

Is it it worth it to contact a insurance broker ?

Cost of insurance can rise even if you didn't necessarily do anything to warrant it. The industry overall got more expensive so they pass that on to us. FWIW though my Geico premiums went down last November. (Live in NOLA).

make sure you let your agent know this. this whole time, geico was making rates off of everyone and not just CorkRockingham.

Do you live in Orleans parish? That shite can go up whenever due to all the non insurance having and frivolous lawsuit bringing mother frickers that operate motor vehicles on the roads.

Seeing as how it will cost you exactly ZERO dollars to get a quote from a reputable Independent Insurance Agent, I'm thinking.....YES.

It's where many smart folks go for their insurance needs.

Same here. I shopped around & couldn’t get anything cheaper. I saw someone on here say rates went up because of the floods.

Mine went up, but I live where a million cars got written off. Mine was not included in that number, but I will be screwed for the next 3 years, minimum.

We were with Geico for 10 years and just switched to Progressive last month due to Geico going up on our rates again. When I called to cancel they told me there were new discounts that had just become available and they could lower my bill. Told them no thanks. We're getting better coverage and saving $70 a month with Progressive.

are you in Louisiana? if so, be sure to sue the frick out of anyone you get in an accident with, regardless if it's your fault or not. Your premiums pay for the rest of the pieces of shite that do it, so you need to get yours too.

Sage legal counsel. You should also assert back and/or neck pain.

You’ll be shopping again in 6 months. I’m on my 3rd 6month term and each time my rate was increased through no fault of my own.

I just got off the phone with Geico. They said that I wouldn't see an increase until my contract comes up for renewal in June. This will be my third increase in about a year and half. I hadn't seen an increase from 2005 to 2016 and it went up $240 a year. I did the online defensive driver class ($20.00) and it lowered my policy by about $140.00 a year.
I pay about $1200.00 a year (Jefferson Parish) for full coverage.. Never made a claim (no accidents) and haven't gotten a ticket in 35 years.
