Exactly. How many times do we see this type of story and it turns out the perp should already be locked up? This sort of thing didn’t happen back when criminals were sent to prison and lunatics were sent to the asylum.

I mentioned this yesterday and wondered if the left was going to use an elderly man trying balance himself & wife (not sure if wife) during a group picture pose and campaigning on draining the swamp as part of tying together Trump supporters and Nazis. Before heavy got this picture it was pushing the 2021 bomb threat/arrest to murder his own mother and the case going away angle. Once it confirmed pictures including this one with grandfather it shifted to being more about family than the murderer.
