Crazy stuff always seems to happen on a full moon. Yall think there's some sort of evolutionary reason for this or is it all baloney?

It's 99.9% baloney. I think there was 1 study that showed that people with bipolar disorder could be affected by the full moon, but that's it.

I have to deal with….lets just say….not the best our society has to offer on a daily basis. There always seems to be an uptick in crazy around the full moon. I don’t pay much attention to the phases, but if I’m having an extra crazy day I’ll check the current phase and it seems like nine times out of ten it’s the day before, day of, or day after the full moon.

It is said that women's menses cycle with phases of the moon, most predominantly during the full moon. Now, women claim they run the world, and behind every great man is a woman taking credit, so it would naturally mean the world would go crazier as they went crazier at full moon.

After all, the word "loony" come from Luna, the moon.

Are you an emergency room physician or nurse?

My brother worked in the ER Big Charity. He swore that there was an increase patient volume and general craziness.

And not just from injury. L&D and the NICU get busy as well.

Lunar cycles = lunatics
It's real
When people are driving crazier around me I can tell a full moon is present.

After working for the fire department, I 100% believe. The crazies always come out during a full moon.

Also, petty thefts are up during a full moon, but that's mostly due to the fact they can see without flashlights.

The full moon effect is because there is more light to see to make stupid choices in.

Fact

It goes back long time but both Humans and animals are more active on a full moon

It has more to do with the light provided on a clear night during a full moon than anything else. More visibility, more activity

During the battle to move things West in the US, the full moon was referred to as a "Comanche Moon" because the majority of Comanche attacks took place on during full moons.

I think this comment describes the phenomenon pretty succinctly. People just notice it occasionally and our brain turns the correlation into causation.

The gravitational effect of the moon on the earth is different during a full and new moon. I thought the whole “kings tide” thing was BS but it is true. Perhaps it flips the switch on some people.

I've always thought that evolutionally since there is physically more light during night time this allows people to see better and potentially act up at night, especially before artificial light was invented. Due to this I wouldnt be surprised there is something built into our system causing us to act crazy around this time every month.
