Gas stations out of 87 in Alexandria, VA.

This is how you coerce folks into buying electric cars.

Good lord
Third post on here about this in last two day so I can’t imagine how bad this is blowing up on social media with the fear porn and low IQ’s.
This will be a huge story by tomorrow

I started hearing "rumors" of a fuel shortage two days before the "cyber attack". A family member called me and told me to fill up all my vehicles and cans. I know for a fact he and all his extended family filled any and everything they could up. So, one way or another....there will be a gas shortage.

This should be an East Coast issue as those pipelines from Colonial was running up that way from the Gulf Coast.

That is what I thought too, but seems my driver isnt a crazy person. No lines in Alexandria now, and all trucks are filled up as well....so no problem for now.

THIS is what I don't understand. We make the gas HERE. The pipeline runs the gas up THERE. If we can't ship it out, why the frick should we have a shortage here. We should be swimming in the stuff if, all of a sudden, they can't ship millions of gallons up there.

Can confirm that Perdido/OB are running dry. I’m plugged in enough to have topped off earlier today, but the few stations (mostly Shell branded) that have fuel have lines out on the main roads. My buddy that lives in Pensacola proper said he had to go to 4 stations before he found any today. By midweek, the Southeast and East Coast are expected to be in a bind.

Good chance to remind the East Coast libitards who their Gulf Coast daddies are.

I just filled up my truck in Gwinnett County (metro Atlanta). No lines, but the price of unleaded has been jacked up by about 40+ cents since Saturday.

The situation in the Pensacola area has been made worse by a local fuel terminal running afoul of EPA regs at a bad time.

That's right, you can blame the gubmint.

Who is in your “we”?

TX and LA are swimming in it. There is only so much you can do via truck terminals. Refineries are built to transport large volume over pipeline and ship. At some point, the refineries will have to cut back on production due to outlet bottleneck

They don’t have the drivers to drive the tanker trucks to the gas stations.

Last summer/fall during all the chaos I went full blown prepper in many areas of life. Filled up ten gallons of non ethanol gas with fuel preservatives.

Not much but it's perfect to get through a week when all the tik tok sponge heads are panicking. Feels good man.

No gas between West side of BR all the way to Lafayette. I barely made it home, fortunately I keep 20 gals for the generator. Probably 20 cars on the side of 190 between BR and here

ETA: This was satire, playing off the Toilet Paper Panic of 2020.
The downvotes suggest the satire wasn't conveyed...

Ditto here in Peachtree City, GA. Drove by the Kroger station and it looked like the apocalypse was coming.

Wow surprising if true. Only things I can think of is folks filling up before they get too Far East of La knowing supply will be tight. OR panic buying here locally and our truck distributor ship just hasn’t caught up yet but they will. No one can supply mass panic buying.

Why would a stretch that is likely supplied from the local refinery racks have problems keeping gas right now?

Maybe like someone said everyone is sucking it up, but that pipeline being down will have little to do with keeping BR supplied.

Got gas today outside of Madison and there was no wait and several open pumps. $2.79/gal.
