Well I expect that rule to change.

I don't know why

the area isn't secured

he could have just walked in from the street and did the exact same thing

if anything, they will just secure the entire airport from now on

I will never understand why these pieces of shite don't shoot people that actually deserve to be shot. Why just shoot random innocent people? Why not shoot those 4 pieces of shite from Chicago yesterday? At least that's justifiable.

I don't know what this means, as far as specifics or whatever. Sounds like it's going to be an issue moving forward that politicians are going to bloviate about.

Yeah that city councilman or whatever he is is fricked probably. Tweeted the origin of the flight and that it was inbound. Meaning there is now a group of people going apeshit. Can't be too many inbound Canadian flights at this particular moment in FL.

Baggage claim will now be slower and another cluster. And any of you baws heading for a hunting weekend somewhere, your lives just got one more layer of complication. Or checking a weapon for any reason whatsoever. Life just got more inconvenient.

I'm not an expert, but I'd wager it's easier to get info from a living suspect. You know, just in case he's part of something bigger than just a lone gunman.

Some a-hole will still try to pull shite at the taxi stand or parking deck.

No, Im not talking about the cops taking out the actual shooter (although I believe they should as well, but you make a very good point). Im talking about these crazy fricks that just flip a switch like the guy at Sandy Hook, the guy at the movie theatre in Colorado, etc. I wonder why all morality is completely gone and they just function blankly and murder completely innocent people as opposed to still having some morality and at least taking out pieces of shite like thug criminals that deserve to die.

One news report had a security guy by phone. Basically saying "secure" areas can only go so far before there is a "soft target". People have to have access to the secure area. Any checkpoint will become the target. You could check vehicles driving in and some a-hole would drive a car bomb into the checkpoint.

I don't think people realize how unsecure most aiports actually are

I was somehow involved in a TSA training breach a few months ago at an airport

the TSA agent, who tries to break into airports all over the country, was able to walk straight through border fire station and was able to "take a plane" before anyone reported him

He was free on the runway/tarmac for 15 minutes before anyone ever stopped and questioned him

They would only get one person probably. If they are really "criminals" they'll be returning fire pretty damned quick.

I doubt it. That doesn't make any sense, what if something happens in the parking garage or the street outside the airport? Where does security start? No way they are going to make everyone picking up friends and family go through security.

This guy got his gun no different than if he walked in from off the street with it. At some point security has to start, it causes more issues than it does solve by making security outside the airport. For one, where do people wait in line to get into the airport? Someone can shoot that line up no matter where it is moved.

Don't they do this already in some places?

I remember a lot of the talk after the Turkey airport attack revolved around the idea that security check points could/should be moved outside of airports so all people inside will have gone through security.
