I don’t care. Yall figure out how you feel about this for yourselves. Just remember that there are real people living in a real community that’s overwhelmed right now. We don’t need added stress or pressures from outsiders who want to use this tragedy to make some bigger point.

A witness told police that Metcalf had tried to get Anthony to move out from under the Memorial High School team’s tent when the Wednesday morning track meet was delayed because of the weather. Students were supposed to sit with their teams, and Anthony was a student at Centennial High School, the affidavit states. The witness reported that when he was asked to move, Anthony opened his bag and reached inside and said, “Touch me and see what happens,” according to the affidavit. A witness told police that Metcalf then touched Anthony, who told Metcalf to punch him and see what would happen. Metcalf then grabbed Anthony to try to get him to move, the witness said. Anthony pulled out a black knife, stabbed Metcalf once in the chest and ran away, a witness told police, according to the affidavit.
Yep. That is murder and I absolutely agree with the first degree charge. He was baiting him and definitely seems pre meditated

Frisco does seem like a nice place on the outside looking in, but they also have Transgender/drag queen breakfasts/brunches for kids. So I marked it off as a place To live after I saw That trash.

I live in Frisco and it was two years ago at a very liberal church. the day after, me and all my Frisco friends never brought it up again.

I don’t think people realize how big Frisco is. It has 240k and growing 3.5% every year. Has 20k more people than Baton Rouge.

Also 12 5A high schools and 25B in current construction including the new Universal Studios kids.

This is parallel to the John St Pierre case from the Shaw game in 83. Killer started the incident but never instigated physical contact.

The killer here seems to have planned the entire thing

Went to the kids tent with a knife and multiple times told him to touch him. That’s premeditated

This wasn’t getting punched out of aggressiveness from the deceased. He has no chance with a level headed jury

That's what it seems like based on the information we have so far.

You wouldn’t care. This board wouldn’t care. Not a single person would give a frick. Downvote, respond, do what you want but we don’t have to pretend

Why do you suppose people wouldn't care as much? Because they inherently don't care about black people?

Or is it perhaps because society has become numb towards black on black crime due to the fact that it's so prevalent in our society today that it's become exhausting?

I believe it's the latter. Because if we're being honest- it isn't just "white people" who've become numb to it. It is so commonplace that when someone- anyone- hears a news report on something like this, assumptions are made before the facts are even realized. Because in a town like BR, for example, those assumptions are true, 90+% of the time.

Its this

But also I don’t think this would be a national story if it was white on white either.

What the frick is going on with track and field meets? Track athletes are generally some of the chillest athletes in the school simply by the nature of the sport. You have to really want to compete in track because no one is coming to an 8 hour track meet to cheer other than your family.

Also, I see a lot of posts on X saying Anthony had every right to be under the team's tent. That may be technically true, but teams are notoriously protective of their tents for a practical reason. That's where all their stuff is! Wallets, jewelry, phones, keys, etc. There are no lockers to stow your stuff. So, teams don't want strangers lurking around.

Everyone knows that and generally respects it.

Yeah who doesn't want to read about a twin dying in his twins arms for a 5th time in 12 hours.

Yeah - time better spent burning down some shopping centers, killing some cops, erecting a few statues, renaming some streets, donating millions of $$ to some corrupt political conspiracy, stopping traffic on some freeways, disfiguring roadside attractions, shooting some non-anguished strangers, killing a few dogs all in the memory of some drug addled ex-con woman abuser.

And then we might as well steal a national election for POTUS as a continuous reminder of his 'sacrifice'.

Others get a pass and it's not their fault, such as in this case.

The North Dallas Pretty People are dealing with tragedy, everyone. This has shaken them to the core!

They need privacy and outsiders need to mind their own business.

You Collin County fricks think might highly of yourselves.

This kind of stuff never happens at lacrosse tournaments, probably because there are so many poles handy to beat the shite out of people.
