I've found a lot of sales people saying "Merry Christmas" this season and I think it's awesome.

Who cares?
Apparently assholes who can't be told "Merry Christmas" and take it simply as well wishes, and, the companies who cower at the thought of those assholes raising a stink.

On a serious note, a cashier at the liquor store said Merry Winter Solstice to me Wednesday. I looked at her all cross and said she better not be here when I return in a few days.

Love these fake stories and faux outrage created by conservative media outlets merely from the use of "Happy Holidays." Christians are such sensitive snowflakes.

Who does? What companies do you know directs their employees to say Happy Holidays rather than Merry Christmas?
Apparently vitamin shop?
And I'd imagine any real corporate standardized setting has some direction that management is supposed to give.
I mean, it has exactly the same sentiment but is a statement that makes sure that more of the costumers are reflected accurately. I'll never understand the hostility towards happy holidays.

Should have told his boss to frick off and that's why we now have Donald Trump as President.

If this is true and with retail I actually believe it, things are about to change. This whole need to all be PC on everything ends January 20th. I know poli board.

Yeah, it says no eating in front of customers. No drinking or doing drugs on the job. In retail if you can get someone who knows how to work the register, lock the doors and show up to work regularly you're doing damn good.
There are a few places that go above and beyond in their training (Chick Fil A) but the vast majority isn't directing their employees what and what not to say at Christmas. This story is BS.

So what?
Maybe some of the customers might be Jewish, or some other faith that celebrates this time of year? Is it really that awful? Peace and goodwill toward your fellow man and all that right now. Merry Christmas shouldn't offend anyone. Neither should Happy holidays.

Do the Vietnamese not celebrate Christmas?
Posted on 12/23/16 at 7:34 pm to prplhze2000
Well.. Next time he knows not to say Merry Christmas.

I went to a halal market yesterday and the obviously muslim guy there told me "Merry Christmas" I know Jewish people who put up lights.
I think this not wanting to say "Merry Christmas" is bs.
Most of the world celebrates Christmas. It's a great holiday.
Screw the people who get offended by it.
If someone corrects me, I just say "bah Humbug"

I'm a non-religious person but have always wished folks Merry Christmas.
I hate that O'Reilly and Breitbart and such have appropriated it so that folks suspect you are a right wing nut if you say it.

No one thinks that. I say it and the black people I work with say it. No one thinks "right wing nut."
