Uncapped but there’s only so much you can do in a month.

But if you’re smart and maximize incentives, you can make as much as the work you put in.

Nah you don’t make shite in medical when you first start. Especially if you have no experience.

With those qualifications and a great “personality” I’d think you can easily pull down 100k your first year in the right environment. Probably more. At least ask for 200k to give yourself some negotiating room.

I did inside sales for all of 9 months fresh out in Nashville and it was 35 base with about 45-50 with commission if I hit all my targets.

My company is starting out Inside Sales positions at between 30-40k depending on experience. Plus there is a bonus program that has a top end of around 12k but usually puts out around 7k paid per quarter.

This is Industrial Supply field.

this person will probably realize that the market doesn't think he's worth nearly as much as he does, then decide to go to graduate school...then he'll end up taking a job making the same salary he could get right now...like a ton of people on this site

Not in sales but I made 28k at my first job out of college in 2000. It required a college degree or 3 years of experience too. I think that's probably about 35-40k today adjusted for inflation.

I understood that I'd start at the bottom of the pay scale. 5 years later I made enough to buy my first house. The young guy will learn soon enough.

The response I received is that I would not settle for less than $70K base salary.

The kind of applicant ballsy enough to demand that might just be the kind of person actually worth that.

Should it matter? Honestly? If they are great with people, then it could be a good hire. Does it matter what you offer depending on age, no. You offer and they either accept or decline. Millennials will eventually adjust to the real world. If it is you hiring, offer pay and expectations and if they agree, try.

70k?

Medical sales don’t even get that to start with basically no experience straight outta college.

I always wonder if people who went into the job market between the 80s-90s really understand the difference between what they used to have to pay for and what they do now.
