quote:

WINNSBORO, La. (KNOE) - A family is outraged saying its 3-year-old was left on a Franklin Parish Head Start school bus for nine years. They say when he didn't come home yesterday afternoon, they called the school and was told he'd been reported absent for the day.

Editor needs to proof-read a little better.

quote:

After school officials had been notified, they were able to find Kingston Williams still on the bus after it had been taken to a shop. His mother Quanshea Williams is still looking for answers as to how her son could have been left on the bus by himself for that long.

How does this even happen?

Laziness on the part of the bus driver.

Agreed, why are they putting three year olds on the bus? I assume head start is some kind of day care. If so parents should at least be dropping them off.

I'm not sure what the remedy to the family is here, but obviously they need to come up with something.

Have to give credit to the three year old for staying put there. Could have been a bigger problem if he had wandered off.

Head Start is what it says above. A lot of places like this are starting to pick up/drop off kids.

My daughter goes to a pre k that is actually at the cities elementary school. The program is separate from the school district, but they do have bus transportation. This has been new the last two years.

I currently own a 3 year old and you can bet your sweet arse I’d never let them ride a bus.

Hold on, let me grab a calculator for this one.

Editor needs to fired for "nine years".
Bus driver needs to be suspended without pay for negligence of duties.
Parents need to be slapped for sending a 3 year on the bus.

He subsisted on the crumbs between the seats.

And forgotten preschoolers

I guarantee you she cares more about that sweet paycheck than she did her offspring left on a bus for 9 hours
