The worst is yet to come in about an hour and a half
Wind yes, but a 1.5 hour reprieve in rain to let the drains catch up is a good thing.

Just heard from buddy in Geismar who has been hit hard. Had most of roof ripped off and multiple trees down. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.
Sounds like a tornado

Some tasty gusts and lots of rain here in Diamondhead. The 5th fairway of the Pines course can be skim boarded. We still have power.

Can someone explain what’s happening when the entire night sky lights up blue/green? Is that electrical?

Definite train effect in place.
Rain line has been just below me in Destrehan like a tease. It just keeps developing just south of the area.

FYI for the Houma folks, if you have a generator hooked up to your natural gas line, there is an apparent issue with gas flow. Family member in Houma says multiple homes having the same issues with their homes generators and it's related to the gas flow.
My neighbor's son is one of them affected by this. Their guess is too many people with generators
