Why wouldn't the NHC just move the track east to Hammond as it seems most of the models that have predicted this eastern shift are around there or even a little more east into western St. Tammany?

I stand by that Ida was worse than Katrina, take away the levee issue. That bitch was rough and mean. Hope I never see anything like that again.

Yes, Ida was a worse hurricane than Katrina. The aftermath, of course, wasn't nearly as bad, but the storm itself was worse.

Being in Houma for Ida had to have been hell. They got raked by the eye wall for hours, never saw the eye, and had to deal with both hurricane winds and essentially multiple tornadoes.

My dear, sweet friend, Duke. That was a cop out.

Tdsngumbo would have given me a straight up answer, beyond reproach. Based on outdated information and a “gut” feeling.

Do better. Yours in Christ,

Wow. I lived there for a bit. My dad moved there in the early 2000’s. Has a bunch of land in Shepherdstown.

The same as earlier No idea what to expect, 15-20 miles could make a huge difference for us.
