The 18z GFS illustrates exactly why the NHC is slow to shift left or right. It swung back a hair west on this run.

Exactly and they're just a little left of consensus model blend at this point anyway. Room to nudge at 10 pm but at this point, the region under the gun knows it and is preparing.

Duke, can you 100% guarantee me that I will not lose power in Denham Springs? And if not, why not? Please explain in detail. Use graphs.

That run is still east of the current NHC track

They're wishcasting so hard for this thing to get going on storm2k

Although I’m from Morgan City, I live in West Virginia now. Can anyone tell me if it will rain in Berkeley County on Saturday?
Posted on 9/10/24 at 5:00 pm to Cosmo
Yes it is but it’s west of the 12z GFS slightly. Plus on that run the heaviest rains looks to be on the west side of the storm.

This thing may not even be a hurricane for a long

Yeah you’re right. Ida gave me PTSD. Never thought I would have to deal with anything like that this far away from the coast.

My brother in christ, you have seen the high quality infrastructure of the state of Louisiana.
It is not 100% in a drizzle you will keep power.

I stand by that Ida was worse than Katrina, take away the levee issue. That bitch was rough and mean. Hope I never see anything like that again.
