This storm will be at most a Cat 2 or Cat 3.

i mean i guess you could...but would be a lot of wasted prep

and trust me...i know a bunch about wasted prep

my boys are going to be like WTF when i tell them they can put everything back in the morning

side note, i drove by Cap1 yesterday...that is a big pile....would have been a disaster downtown with any big time winds...not wishcasting it on others but glad it looks like we dodged a bullet

and from now on I will do my prep early just in case as good voodoo

I'm not arguing because I genuinely don't know, but how can you say "no change in impact" to the Northshore area when these are the models 2 days apart?

very doubtful at landfall, might get to it, but at landfall will be a 2 at most imo. it will shear before it hits

Seems like some damn good news that the storm didn't intensify last night. It's still forecasting intensification but the lower the starting point for that intensification the better.

If it keep trending East…it could be likely.

Told my wife yesterday afternoon that I didn’t think it would stay on Vermilion Bay track. Thought it would move East to Morgan City-Houma/Chavin landfall. I’m not expert or even know what I’m talking about, though. Just a gut feeling.

Really hope this thing somehow weakens and disorganizes. People along the coast don’t need this.

yea i was hoping it hit more lower vermillion....not because i "frick those people" but more because SWLA and the houma/MC areas have taken a bunch of hits in the last two decades and central LA has never really taken one.....trying to spread the misery around some

It doesn't matter how you describe it, A shite sandwich is still a shite sandwich.

I feel like it would be better if no one "wished" or "hoped" a storm would go anywhere. All it does is stir shite in these threads. You can hope it doesn't hit you without naming a specific place for it to go. Never understood why that's so hard. I don't want it hitting anywhere in LA because I know people anywhere it could hit, but of course I'm going to lean towards not wanting it to hit certain areas over others. But I don't have to say I would rather it hit X than Y...that just makes me sound like a heartless a-hole no matter how nicely I put it.

It's common sense. Everyone here kneels before the models and it blinds them from what is obvious.

I didnt stop because I never started. Go back, read it again, pretend it's some clickbait headline and maybe you'll understand it more and get your validation from reactions.

The convo was about "preparing" for the worst, my advice was that if they really wanted to prepare for the worst, prepare for more than 3. Which is illogical and an overreaction.

You would also see that I said I prepare early for a 3 and adjust which I think is the most logical.

I know, logic doesnt sound good ina. X headline though.
