Does the GF know the family tree?
If she's still down, I don't see any reason to break it off. Especially if ypur mother and her grandmother are no longer around.
What are your ages?
If neither of ypu has any plans on having kids, there's really no reason to give anything a second thought.

Yes, it was her aunt and my cousin who were trying to fix us up. She is now doing some research to find out exactly who was kin to who and if it really was my mother and her grandmother. I'll post and update soon.

You are 2nd cousins once removed. That will make your kids siblings AND 3rd cousins AT THE SAME TIME. Your kids will also be your 2nd cousins twice removed. You really want your family tree looking like that?

Please let us know what y'all find out. Im not interested in making cousin frickin jokes like alot here and do have to say that it truly sucks when you find someone you connect well with and for whatever reason cant continue to see them. Good luck on your search.
