I would be dead if those drink prices existed when I was in college.

When were you in college? I graduated in 2001 and there were still lots of places with prices like that. Lakeside had penny pitchers, Sports had $0.50 mixed drink pitchers, etc.

Between this and Kirby, I probably know you. I roomed with Steve Taylor a couple of years in school. Joel used to hang out with us a lot.

I still have a few old Reveilles from the early 90's
(My Shaq Pack days). Brings back memories like volleyball thursdays with the north gate kegs at Kirby. Beat the clock at the Tiger, Drinkin with Lincoln at the Bengal, seeing Drivin & Cryin at Murphey's, $3 pitchers of Turbo Dog at Chimes, cheap arse pizza buffet at Gattis watching NFL on Sundays. Good times. My son is at LSU now and he can't believe the stories I tell him, my how times have changed.

Can't remember what year it was but Fred's had Blues Traveler and Wide Spread Panic play on the same night.

This was spring of '91. I lived at Oakbrook on Nicholson. We all walked to my apartment between bands for PED's. Great night!!!

Yeah in the early 2000s lakeside had a cover on Tuesday and Thursday. One day it was free drinks and draft the other was penny pitchers. This is also when tiger bar had $5 cover for Friday free drinks. Fred's had $1 shots after midnight. Any shot.

That Reveille is from march 1990, the spring before my freshman year at LSU, Shaq was a freshman

Chad Loupe was in my class, he wasn't on campus at LSU yet in spring 1990
Chad Loup(no E) reshshirted in 1989. So he was on campus in the spring of 1990

I'm not sure but I think I saw "Drivin' N' Cryin'" at Murphy's one night around 1991. Where ever it was they rocked the house with "Straight To Hell"!

The Bengal was down Highland Road toward downtown. On the left coming from campus.

I thought it was on the right coming from campus. Been a long time though.

Was Fred's actually fun back then? It sounds like it might be a shell today.

Pretty much what's being advertised in the OP. Now Fred's is a combination of overpriced drinks and shitty trap music.

I remember drinking a ton (probably didn't pay too much or don't remember if I did) and bands/music and having fun pretty consistently.
