No you wouldn't. You'd have extremely high alcohol tolerance like the rest of us who experienced it do. Great times back then.

I thought $100 a night was good.

100 would buy the bar

You clearly don't remember the 'Ironic' month-long shite show the Reveille let fly when they published countering letters to the editor about Alannis misunderstanding irony in her hit song. I remember an English Professor got in the mix too.

Dollar calls at Murphys was unbelievable. They didn't measure shite. Just turned the bottle over and let it flow. $10-$20 a night and you were good.
Less the money you dropped at Louie's or the Schnitzel.

I thought Duhe had moved on to public tv by then. Rod Dreher was probably still around.

Between there, regular $3 drinks at the Happy Note, Sundays at the Gator Bar, and the Tigerland specials, we had no idea or cared how shitty the BR night life was.

And yes, kids, BR restaurant/social scene blew donkey kicks in the 90s compared to the 50s-70a and now.

Ahh yes- the gator bar. Great times were had on Sunday nights.

There was als a Panchos in Nicholson that was great for a nice pre-drink meal. All you can eat crappy Mexican food followed by nickel draft at Docs on Thursday nights. What could possibly go wrong. But those Friday mornings....
