It's always the tiniest, most meaningless habit that are impossible to break. For me, it's lacing up shoes or boots "left over right" every single time. If I purchase a pair of shoes and they're partially laced, but it's not left-over-right, I'll undo them and re-lace them.

And no, I'm not OCD. It's "CDO" because it has to be in alphabetical order!

Served 25 years so the speed eating thing went away over time.

It’s picking out clothes. It’s just awkward.

My vet FIL will eat breakfast at 6:30 am, lunch exactly at noon, and dinner exactly at 6pm. He is 90 and continues the trend.

Being an a-hole at work, apparently. I'm not trying to be an a-hole but I've been told I can be too "direct". Directness was a virtue in the military.

That and being chronically early for everything.

I have virtually no friends that aren’t active or vets. Civilians just don’t think the same way and I find it’s way easier to keep them as associates and at a distance.

not sure if this is strictly an Army thing, but putting creamed beef on scrambled eggs or an omlet (these days I just substitute sausage grave over at Primos)

You get kind of use to Shite on a Shingle.

I like Primos too!

I've been told the exact same thing at work. Motherfricker, you're getting the nice version of me and not this.

I got this a lot early in my civilian career. A woman I recently dated recently said I was always "too serious". I mean, I am a grown arse man with responsibilities.
