I remember eating during basic. Dude across from me was looking at me with disgust. I said we have 5 minutes…go. His look of shock and then panic will always be remembered.

is that wrong?

I’ve heard people say that if someone is cursing every other word or so, the implication is they have a limited vocabulary.
But, all those frickin assholes can implicate my dick, go to Hell, and die.
But, as you were.

There's also research saying that people who use curse words often have higher IQ's. To that I say absofrickinglutely.

Also, I am fatally early to everything - 10 minutes early is on time.
I've been in sales for 25 years and that's my thing. I live by Gale Sayers's motto- "if you're early, you're on time. If you're on time. you're late. If you're late, you're forgotten."
I also had a boss who required us to be 10 minutes early to every appointment. He felt it showed respect to the prospect's time.

The cursing. Definitely the cursing.
I also roll my family's clothes as taught in basic. Makes packing for a trip a breeze and allows for way more drawer space.
Use the phonetic alphabet and enunciate numbers military style religiously. I was the radio guy in my platoon so that's ingrained.
I never put my hands in my pants pockets.
Have to baby powder the parts and use foot powder every day. Genital chafing and wet feet are a no go.

Speed eating is probably the big one for me too that I still do to this day. There were some things job specific that we did in the military that were not necessary outside of a military facility that took me a while to break. Another one was when I first got out I would call co workers sir and mam ,but I worked with all veterans so they understood that one.

That reminded me that I do it any time I have to give my SS number. It has a niner, fife, and tree in it and it is clear when I tell some people they think I am daft. Typing that also reminded me giving your SS number seems much more rare these days than years ago or it may just be everyone in the world already has mine, dunno.

You guys were lucky to get 5 min , in basic,my Instructor hated me from the start and assigned me to water monitor duty. That met i had to provide at least 4 glasses of water to everyone when they were getting their food. So basically i was the last to eat so i literally had 2 mins to shove whatever i could down my throat before they made us get up to leave.

I dated a girl before I met my wife and her dad was retired Navy. That man made an impeccable bed and turned cursing into an art form.

The most extreme speed eaters were always the guys who just got out of Ranger school. A hungry wolf would have found their manners appalling.
