Does this help Ukraine and abortion laws? If so, worth it.

Dealers won't care about inflation as long as dummies will pay the markups.

It’s ridiculous. I’m in a Facebook group and there has been several of these trucks that sold for $40k over sticker. I preordered one 18 months ago and it just finished being built, expected to be delivered in 4-6 weeks. If people are still are still paying +$20k I’m listing it for sale immediately.

Gonna go extinct if they keep this up. Electric motors are less complicated than the ICE.

Hey Biden, this looks like price gouging. Think he’ll talk about this?

Can’t wait. Relics of pre-internet times. Stories like the OP are good news to us who want government protection for car dealerships to end.

Good thing you have a choice to not buy anything from them.

Manufacturers are reconfiguring their distribution model to be direct rather than through dealerships. Tesla has shown that it can be done

Dealerships are killing their future with this sort of stuff.

do agree with the folks who say you don't have to buy it and it's definitely true with me, it would still be sitting on the lot when I left

This is what chaps my arse with some dealers. You see they have a vehicle advertised online. You call to make sure they have it. You go out to test drive l, agree to buy the vehicle then they slap the adjusted market price on you after you’ve spent an hour there. They just wasted your fricking time.

The biggest problem with this process is that people pre ordered these trucks a year and half ago with a $100 deposit. Then official orders went in the first week of January with another $1500 deposit. At that time they locked in a price with Ford. Now fast forward six months later the first few trucks are being delivered and the dealerships are hitting them with another markup. It seems most people are paying around $5,000 over but then you have plenty of dealerships trying to get $20,000 over. People are fighting with these dealerships all over the country. The dealerships want the original buyer to back out because they know they will find somebody to pay a higher amount.

I totally support ending the dealership model. We don't need dealerships. Tesla's model works great.

The Ford CEO has already come out and said they’re looking into it. The dealership structure is out dated and causes nothing but issues for the manufacturer. Cut out the middle man and you’ll move more vehicles.

also gets a 98 kWh battery and 452 bhp - meaning the cheapest electric F-150 has more power than the $69,525 ICE F-150 Raptor.

More worthless power...like this is some perk. If I want to go fast, I would get a car. If I want more power in a truck, it's because I am pulling something, in which case I would get a diesel. I know there are plenty of retards who would brag about how much power their f150 has, but you can't do anything with it but go faster than other trucks. You certainly can't tow any more with it.

Bingo. Let me buy it straight from the source. I hate buying vehicles with a passion.
