I like it. I really like the new Tacoma too.
Typically I dislike most new car redesigns, but I really like the latest crop of mid sized pickups + this 4Runner. Very much a fan of the new Frontier, Colorado, Canyon, and the Tacoma. It's like the car designers started listening to consumers like me.

That's a Bronco Sport. Not a Bronco. Kickup at the beltline is common on a lot of vehicles.

First pic looks more like their older models Sequoias.

Someone at Forbes is getting an earful from Toyota marketing right now ?
Couple years ago I was at the Concourse Amelia Island and talked to the head of US marketing for a global brand ....and he conveyed about leaked videos of a new model " officially we hate it... Unofficially it's free ..."

“Leaked” my arse. Boy, sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic on garbage covered roads to nowhere has never been coooler.

The pertinent question is: how many chocalate labs, sacks of groceries, soccer and lacrosse gear can the average OT baw fit in this rice burner??

That's a good looking 4Runner.

That is some low hanging bodywork.
Yeah. I like the looks, but they screwed up the approach and departure angles. Wheels should be closer to the corners to compete with the Jeep and Bronco with the off-road crowd.

Should I be going out to snag a 2024 with the old school engine before they are no longer available? My goal was to buy a 4runner in the next ~2-3 years so my son could drive it for his first vehicle in ~11 years. That new engine scares me off a bit

I would. The Tundras have been eating turbos. I'm afraid this motor might be the same.

I for one had concerns about the 2.4 but I love it. Time will tell but it has much more torque than the 3.5 or 4.0 V6.

key word is Bronco, but whole profile looks simliar, windows, smaller higher window in rear, etc

Not a fan of the body style and the fact that it’s a 4-cylinder makes it an immediate pass for me.
My very first car was a 4-Runner. I loved that car. One day I’ll buy the same car for nostalgia purposes.

Anyone EVER seen a man other than maybe a college kid driving a 4 Runner? I look every time, chick, chick, chick...

Good for you baw. I greatly appreciate the older body style, but they really knocked it outta the park with this redesign.
