For those who have sold items on FB Market, how did you take payment?

Selling an old commuter car, was planning on taking cash but have heard stories recently of very legit looking $ being used to scam sellers.
I rarely use FB much less have ever sold or bought anything on FB before.
TIA

Just have the guy write you a check, you should be fine. Or if he offers to bank transfer you a $1,000 over asking price and only asks you to give him $500 back, you’re good to go!

My credit union verified the funds from his credit union. Loan officer notarized the title & that was it

Sold a golf cart using Venmo, sold a Jeep years back and accepted cash.

Sold some golf clubs last week, he paid cash. Meet somewhere safe, police stations often have designated areas to meet for online sales. Guy last week I met at a fire station and had a 9mm with me, easy.

Apple Pay, Venmo, cash, and always meet up.

I meet at a local chase bank where there are cameras everywhere.
Ask for Venmo, send $1 to Venmo to make sure it’s correct. Proceed.

PayPal is the only one that offers any sort of protection
I would insist on crypto if it’s a large amount so they can’t do a chargeback

I don’t take payments, I make the payments with a ski mask and pistol

For a car…I’ would have them meet me at the bank to verify funds and for safety.
