The second one (currently 15 months) was an absolute terror and I don’t think our marriage could survive another child like that.

If there was a way to guarantee the 3rd would sleep/act like the first, we would consider it....we are happy with two though and don’t want to go through another tough one.

Having a 3rd child is awesome and life is way more entertaining for everyone. Kids love to play and more people for them to play with the happier they are. Being able to afford them is important but you can always adjust your life style accordingly. Providing everything you want for your kids actually isn't always healthy for them because they can become ungrateful and spoiled. Its actually a good thing to teach your kids wants vs needs. There are a lot of kids who don't have proper food and clothes, so stop worrying about private schools and vacations. Proper parenting can experience a lot of joy without money. Play with them, take them to a park, and spend time with them and they will have a happy childhood. Go for 3 and fill your life with joy.

Both pregnancies were rough on the wife and the second could have killed her if she had gone into labor instead of scheduled C-section. We were lucky we already had boy and girl.

Right... that was me. Then we got a whoops 6 years later. The wife was in a low hormone BC pill. We had no idea she was preggers until the titty fairy arrived.

One more kid is only incrementally more expensive. It should not be a consideration.

The wife said her baby factory only makes 2. I would have been ok with a 3rd, but the last pregnancy was very tough on her postpartum. Dont want to put her through that again. There is also a chance it could be a 3rd girl....2 is enough for us.

My wife is very career oriented and has sacrificed a lot the past 5 years, so asking her to do it all over again for couple more years seems a bit unfair, but she is pretty conflicted about it too. She really wants a girl and thinks having an adult girl around will be a blessing when we are old

Sounds like she will regret not trying regardless of the career bullshite

We had a boy and a girl, were 35 and financially secure. Second was not an easy baby and we thought about stopping at 2. But we both came from 3 kid families, and our family did not feel complete at 2. We felt the third child was out there waiting for us. So we had a third. Best decision ever. He's an amazing son.

We have two girls, 2.5 and 6. I have no desire for a boy so we’re done. Also, I had a very complicated pregnancy with number two. And she is a wild child! I constantly ask myself how the hell people have more than two kids. I’d be in the nuthouse. But my husband and I are semi-helicopter parents so I think that’s why.

If you go for thee make sure you are prepared for a bonus baby. If your wife is past 34 chances of twins goes up.

My wife’s sister and husband know a couple that had 3 girls and tried once more for a boy. They ended up with triplet girls.....6 daughters under 1 roof

Good luck to you and your wife. We just had our 1st in July. We definitely want 2 kids but not sure about 3rd.

Third one just kind of appeared. Wife stays home with them and we couldn’t be happier. Don’t be a pussy, have more.

Having 2 made us not want a third. Mine are 6 and 3 and I can’t imagine going back to the baby stage

Your next kid would probably prefer to grow up poor than not exist.

We had one boy and one girl. Saw how much harder having two was than one and how much more expensive it would be and called it quits after two.
