More youth are playing soccer than football and baseball.

Yet, that doesn't turn into TV viewing later as adults. A lot of kids play soccer because their mothers push them into it. Then they find out they're playing soccer.

3 or 4 more generations (75-100 years) and it’ll be niche: occasional massive events, but not the epicenter of American life like it is now.

Fewer boys grow up playing tackle football, so fewer carry that lifelong passion forward. The pros stay a spectacle, but the deep cultural hold slips away generation by generation.

No. NFL minimum is $840,000. P5 college players are now getting compensated close to $100,000 with rev share. There will always be enough players willing to take the risks that come along with football. The demographic pushing their kids away from football, upper to upper-middle class whites, is not where the talent pool comes from.

Way too much money in it for the government to intervene. College football owns one day out of the week and pro football owns another....plus the month of January.

It'll never go away but like baseball I can see nationally people eventually losing as much interest.

Eventually there's gonna be drones and robots competing in sports like racing each other stuff like that imagine battle bots

We all know the real reason football is losing popularity in this country

But we can't openly post about it for fear of the "Ban Hammer"
That football exists to sell food by Big Agra?

We’ve all seen the commercials brah.

Do not fear the poultry reaper.
